With Mother’s Day around the corner, we’d love to introduce you to just a few of the amazing mums who are working behind the scenes for you at Jeanswest. We’ve captured some beautiful moments between our JW Mums and their loved ones, and caught up on all things motherhood!
Meet Amy, Manager at Jeanswest Lilydale in Melbourne, daughter to Jenny and mum to Tamika and Wakely.
It was so fantastic to see you with your gorgeous family! You guys clearly have lots of fun together, what are a few of your favourite things to do on the weekends?
Weekends are a mix of working and playing together. On Saturdays we all pitch in and get chores done, so that we can spend Sundays getting out and about and doing something fun. Day trips to the beach, visiting the waterfalls in Eildon, bush walks, visiting wildlife, swimming… we’re always up to something!
You’re children each have beautiful personalities (a credit to you we think!)… Obviously there are hundreds, but what’s one of your favourite qualities about Tamika, and about Wakely?
Tamika’s sassy personality and her quick humour are both wonderful to me. She’s so funny and always has us laughing.
Wakely is full of great energy and is affectionate. He has a heart of gold and really is a big teddy bear. I love his hugs!
How has your life changed since becoming a mum?
It’s much busier now, but full of so much more love and laughter; it’s changed for the better and I feel content and complete with our little family of four.
You and your mum seem to have a lovely friendship too. What’s something you learnt from your mum, that you want to pass on to your children?
Keeping a work/life balance. Work hard, but also take time out for yourself. Enjoy life’s precious moments and take the time to make those important memories.
What’s something that the two of you like to do together, to catch up?
We treat ourselves! Shopping and getting our hair done is a way to catch up and unwind together.
Amy you’ve worked in-store for 3 years now… looking at or new collection, what outfits will you be wearing for the Mother’s Day weekend?
I’m a little safe with my colours so typically I stick to neutral, earthy tones for layering over basic tees, jeans and boots. I’m loving the Feather Touch jeans for winter activities, and worn with a cosy coatigan, the Uma cardigan in oatmeal is one of my new knitwear staples. It’s a safe bet that this will be a go-to for me Mother’s Day weekend… any many others!
