Introducing the Ducati licensed T-shirt Collection. Exclusive to Jeanswest, inspired by the elite Italian motorcycle manufacturer and some of the most iconic motorcycles, you’re sure to love these statement classics. Available in four limited edition designs, you won’t want to miss out on!
Our latest range of limited edition tees pays homage to Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A., the Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1926, who earned its place in motorcycling history during the 60’s by producing one of the fastest road bikes in its time. We’re extremely excited about this collaboration, as Ducati is renowned for its high performance motorcycles and premium products throughout Australia and Internationally.
In celebration of the launch of our Ducati licensed T-Shirt Collection, we caught up with Menswear Graphic Designer, Robi to discuss the inspiration behind the collection, the unique designs and future limited edition capsules we can look forward to.
What led to the Ducati licensed t-shirt collaboration and what was the inspiration behind the collection?
It was the great response from customers on the Jeanswest / Ford collection last Summer, this got us excited to team up with other renowned motor companies.
To mix it up a bit we explored 2 wheels not 4 and Ducati’s deep motorcycling history was appealing. We knew there would be some fantastic imagery in the archives to turn into t-shirt prints but also some more pro-sport driven styles as well like the long sleeve tee.
Did you learn anything new about the Ducati brand while designing this capsule, if so what did you learn?
Ducati were trailblazers. They produced the fastest 250cc road bike in the 60’s and still to this day are big players on the World MotoGP Circuit constantly refining their technology. Recent Ducati motorcycle releases often draw style inspiration from their early retro models. I really like the way they strive to improve their bikes while embracing their humble beginnings.
What can customers expect from the next limited-edition collection we have planned?
We have some exciting things to come. We will be revisiting Ford with another release of tees but this time Holden will join the mix in-store. Without giving too much away, Jeanswest also have something for the guitar/music fans to get into this coming Winter.
