Jeanswest International Fashion Award
The Jeanswest International Fashion Award has been launching careers overseas for the past 18 years. The exciting news in 2009 is... for the first time, Jeanswest Australia will take part in this amazing global event presenting budding Fashion Designers from Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to showcase their creative talent whilst competing on an international stage.
AWARD UPDATE 10/8/09:
We received such a high calibre of entries for the Jeanswest International Fashion Award, something the Australian and New Zealand fashion industries should be very proud of.
The entries were sent to Hong Kong to be judged as part of the global process and we're excited to announce Ran (Chris) Lin as our 2009 finalist heading off to Hong Kong to represent Jeanswest Australia in the semi finals. Ran is currently studying at RMIT Melbourne.
For those who didn't make it through this time round, thank you for your amazing entries, the creativity and time put into each and every one of them was fabulous.
Ran heads off to Hong Kong late September, please join us in wishing him well. We'll certainly be keeping you up to date with his progress and fingers crossed, success.

The prizes up for grabs;
First-round Shortlist:
$250 Jeanswest Wardrobe
Semi-Finalists:
Return flights and accommodation to Guangdong, Hong Kong to compete on an international stage as part of fashion week and a $500 Jeanswest Wardrobe.
Grand Finalists:
Return flights and accommodation to Beijing, China to compete at the Gala Final and $750 Jeanswest Wardrobe
The Overall Winner:
Return flights and accommodation to Beijing, China to showcase the collection as part of the Jeanswest International Fashion Design Awards, $5,000 cash, $1,000 Jeanswest Wardrobe and industry advice from the Jeanswest Australia Fashion team.
