"The support and commitment has been fabulous from the staff over the years at Jeanswest and this year's result only strengthens the partnership between Jeanswest and the Children's Medical Research Institute. Jeanswest is a true leader in retail philanthropy" said Julijana Trifunovic - Jeans for Genes Day National Campaign Manager for the Children's Medical Research Institute.
The result? Over the past years Jeanswest has raised over a whopping $1million fundraising dollars. Definitely an event Jeanswest and its Team Members is excited to be part of!
Where does your money go?
1 in 20 children in Australia suffer from some kind of genetic abnormality including children’s Cancers, Epilepsy and Clef Lip Palate. These are just three of the diseases that the CMRI scientists are working on.
One of CMRI’s researchers, Scott Cohen discovered the composition of the core enzyme, telomerase, which is present in 85% of human cancers. This discovery was found with the use of equipment purchased with funds raised through Jeans for Genes. This is just one of the amazing discoveries that wouldn't be possible without your support
